Yaya Sanogo has finally returned to action for Arsenal.

The French forward, who has been out of action since he picked up a back injury on September 5th which playing for the French under-21 side, turned out for the Arsenal under-21’s on Friday afternoon.

Sanogo started the game and played 61 minutes before he was replaced by Austin Lipman.

Jon Toral also came in to the side to replace Gedio Zelalem who has been called up to the senior squad.

The game against Southampton finished 0-0 and the under-21’s have yet to win a game in 2014.

    Please ease him back in gently. We don’t need another injury smitten player like Diaby and Wilshire seems to be lately. I’m sure he’s got the talent as long as he can stay healthy, develop his skills and get stronger and he adapt to the English game.
