The local website in Nice, Nice Matin, is today reporting that alleged soon-to-be [did I cover everything there?] Arsenal ‘keeper David Ospina, paid a visit to the training ground on Thursday to say goodbye to his teammates.
The Colombian goalkeeper is set to move to Arsenal on a deal worth approx €4m and his transfer is set to be announced next week after the keeper arrives in London – believed to be happening on Monday [the arrival not the announcement, knowing Arsenal that will take place on Thursday].
With this deal all-but completed and even the major media outlets reporting it as a done deal, it seems odd that Arsenal keep on being heavily linked with Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas. With Wojciech Szczesny already at the club having both Ospina and Casillas would seem a bit like overkill which is why I’m very mistrustful of the rumours.
They are, however, incessant with fees and terms and wages and years all being thrown around as if it might actually happen. Of course, I’m not going to complain if it does but, at this point, it all seems to be a little bit nonsense if you ask me.
