Wenger Leeds us to believe it will be all change for tomorrow’s match

God my head hurts today. I’d love to say it’s the result of a massive bender, but alas, it’s just the result of dodgy genes.

Pah. This is likely to be a quickie today as each keystroke is agony.

Tomorrow we have the joy of Leeds arriving at the Emirates for the early kick-off live on shITV. We already know that there will be quite a few changes, but the news that Ramsey will be included in the squad is a nice surprise.

With Wenger saying he would be a few months before he was ready I wasn’t sure we’d see him quite so soon, but I suppose if he is fit enough to play for Forrest, he is fit enough to face Leeds.

Vela, who has ten clubs trying to get him on loan, will also feature as he looks to impress. Wenger would, sensibly, like him to go to a Premier League club on loan. Surprisingly, JET will not be involved, although he will hopefully be going out on loan to a Premier League club as well.

So, with Sagna suspended, VP carrying a slight hip knock from being flattened by De Jong, and a few of the others knackered from two high intensity games in the past week, we will no doubt see a team starting which looks like this:

Szczesny, Eboue, Squillaci, Koscielny, Gibbs, Denilson, Rosicky, Ramsey/Wilshere, Vela, Arshavin, Bendtner/Chamakh.

It’s hard to tell who will take the place of Cesc in the middle, on the one hand you have the fear that Aaron isn’t quite ready for a full match, but on the other Jack needs a rest before we burn him out. Similarly, up front, Bendtner will want a start, but Chamakh has earned it.

Still, it’s nice to have these sorts of dilemmas before a match.

Sanchez Watt, currently on loan, had thought that he wouldn’t be able to face his parent club, but this changed during the week when he realised that Arsene Wenger actually likes his players to be tested against the best opposition possible.

Arsenal have never lost to lower league opposition in the FA Cup under Wenger. Let’s not start tomorrow.

In other news, Almunia is apparently in ‘no man’s land’ and my natural inclination is to say ‘not for the first time.’ With the news that Mannone has extended his stay at Hull it seems likely that Almunia will stay at Arsenal, albeit as a number three. That is about his level, and he is most certainly behind Fabianski and Chesney in the pecking order, of that there is no doubt. What happens should a club want him and be able to offer him the same sort of salary that he currently gets? Well, I guess we let him go and use James Shea as our third choice. After all, how often do you get that far down the order? Cue sods law…

After failing to secure a work permit for Wellington, he will be heading to Spain on loan until at least the summer. Apparently you can only apply for one work permit per season, Arsenal are hoping that a stint in Spain will prove that the Brazilian deserves his permit when they apply again in the summer.

Finally, Wenger was delighted that the England team won the Ashes. Why? Well, because a lot of the cricketers are Arsenal fans of course.

That’s your lot. Now, who’s hiding my pain-killers?

i found an interesting quote from arsene talking about the potential signing of eden hazard

Q:What is your opinion about him? Do you see him in your team?

AW: That’s an interesting question. We follow him and personally I think he has a real talent and he has the level to play for Arsenal, yes.

Q: Yesterday we did see him and he said to me: my dream is to play for Arsenal.

AW: You know, you have to realise your dream.

    thoughts?

I don’t know enough about him to be honest but from the clips I’ve seen he’s young and has bags of potential a typical AW signing. He’s not at a big club so would jump at the chance of playing for a club like us. Not sure if we were to make one signing this transfer window that he’d be the one I’d go for but I wouldn’t say no !

after looking at several clips he looks like he would fit in well, technically gifted great at breaking from midfield, unselfish plus he dreams of playin for arsenal.

As Bala said earlier according to the Arse website AW has said Kos is being rested so I guess it’s another appearance for JD. With regards to Watt he sustained a head injury in the defeat to Cardiff and is doubtful, hope he plays ! I know a lot of people rate JET so I can’t understand why he doesn’t get a look in especially in the Cups. Great news about Aaron.

In my drug fuelled haze I totally missed the bit where Arsene said Jack and Kos would be rested and as a result look like I don’t know what I’m talking about more than usual. In my defence I did only catch the end of the press conference, it hadn’t been replayed on the site and no articles had appeared by the time I was writing the blog, but still, wrong is wrong so my apologies.
