A whole lot of nothing

As we reach midpoint in a week without Arsenal there is, unsurprisingly, little of interest worth talking about. Hopefully this means that all our lot are tucked away on the training pitch training their little arses off.

The main point of note that I can find this morning is a lot of talk about how Arsenal are set to overhaul their squad in the summer with a number of players, including all our loan players being sold. Hardly cutting edge journalism that really is it – club loans players it doesn’t want and then sells them? If it is true you could argue that the overhaul really took place last year, and while I do have a feeling we will see a change of transfer policy when the window opens, I say this every year so that isn’t really something you should pay attention to me on.

With so many players being sent out on loan in the summer, not for experience, but to get them as far away from the club as possible, and with the sale of Cesc and Na$ri, you could argue that it’s unlikely that we’ll see such an overhaul this year again, after all, we won’t be selling any of our bigger names of that I’m sure and perhaps the only surprises that lie in store with regards to the players who are already somewhere else would be if any of them come back. If I had to make a guess I’d say Bendtner will come back (I don’t know why I think that, I just do), the rest of the loaness will be sold or have their loan deals renewed if no-one will buy them, Park will stay but we’ll see Squillaci, Almunia, and Chamakh leave. Hardly the heart-breaking stuff of last summer that is it really?

The last of the FA Cup Semi final places were sealed last night and I’m hard pushed to think of a bigger cuntfest in recent years with the last four being red cunts, blue cunts, lily white cunts and Everton. The fact that Chelsea face Sp*rs means that one of them will be in the final (some cutting edge journalism from me there folks) and that’s just sickening. I like the FA Cup. Despite people yammering on every year about how it’s lost its magic, it’s a cup that has always meant something to me. Maybe because growing up where I did it was one of the few times we were guaranteed a game on the telly when I was a kid, or perhaps it’s because Arsenal have won it ten times, who knows, but the fact is that this year it is pretty much dead to me. I’ll still watch though in the vain hope that Everton can pull off a mini-miracle.

That is really all there is to talk about and as I’m writing this after very little sleep due to tooth-related agony I’m going to leave it there for today. Hopefully they’ll be more to talk about tomorrow.

Don’t think Bendtner will want to come back now that he has played a full season as first choice in his preferred role. Assuming ofcourse that RvP stays with us.
