Morning all. I’m pretty sure someone got a hold of one of those Inception dream things last night and was messing with me so as a result I’m typing this with only one eye open. I should really still be asleep.
Anyway, as the weekend fast approaches, there is very little by way of Arsenal news to talk about. The only thing of note, and it’s quite a big note, is that of Jack’s reported injury set-back. Reported to be taking part in a behind-doors friendly yesterday there were widespread comments from people on Twitter that he had had to withdraw from the game. There has been no official comment so mostly I’m working from people ‘in the know’ and while this is generally a pejorative term given to people who really haven’t got a fucking clue, these people aren’t generally renowned for making stuff up. It’s disappointing to say the least. When I was writing yesterday’s blog I got so caught up in the excitement of his impending return that I failed to consider that he might not make it back, foolish I know when you consider our injury history and the long-term patterns with serious injuries we seem destined to repeat until the end of time. I got ahead of myself, thinking of watching Jack help us cross that third place finish line and now I think it’s probably best if we just forget him until next season.
This makes me sad.
Apart from that there really isn’t anything much to talk about so here is this week’s injury table. I’m away back to bed.
