  • Ox: Everyone can benefit from Podolski’s mentality
As Arsenal get ready to face Southampton in the Barclay’s Premier League tomorrow, much is being made about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain facing the team where he spent his youth and who discovered his talent after he joined the Saints aged just seven.  Always coming across as very down to earth and willing to learn from every [...]
  • FIFA 13 features kiss between Giroud and Gotze
It seems as if FIFA 13 might have been paying attention when German Chancellor Anglea Merkel made a call for gay footballers in the country to come out as when players get too close in the game they become rather closely acquainted.  This is, of course, not to suggest that either Olivier Giroud or Mario [...]

  • Roux: I think Diaby was not injured
Abou Diaby, who missed France’s second World Cup qualifier against Belarus due to what was first reported to be a hip injury which then became swelling above the knee, is rated as ’50-50’ to play against Southampton for Arsenal in the Barclay’s Premier League after it was reported that the player needed six days rest [...]

  • Diaby: I want to make an impression and be accepted
Abou Diaby’s return to the Arsenal team has been lauded across many sections of the footballing world, and although he picked up a small injury while on international duty with the French team (which was only to be expected given the time he spent out of the game) if things carry on the way they [...]
  • No move for Drogba from Arsenal
The Sun, who started all this nonsense a few days ago by saying that Arsenal were interested in bringing Didier Drogba back from China to play for Arsenal regardless of the fact that Arsene Wenger would break out in a cold sweat at just the mere mention of £200,000 per week let alone actually paying [...]
  • Wenger tells unhappy players to go somewhere else
You get the sense that Arsene Wenger has just about had his fill with players moaning and bitching so when he was asked yesterday about players who speak out in the press and want to leave he said I believe any player or employee always had to defend the company he works for and if [...]

    I watched Montpellier
yesterday and they are very beatable. South Hampton poses an opportunity due to
Arsenals close relationship and player deals. In-fact, their promotion
may have been made possible due to the money Arsenal has afforded them in
    player transactions.
With Sat. & Tues. games Wenger is going to make some line-up
decisions. Giroud has not quite found his form and it is affecting his
confidence. Against a familiar French team and his Champion’s league debut, it
just might be what the doctor ordered to get him in his groove. I think he
should start on the bench on Saturday and his replacement should be Walcott.

    Theo has been begging
for the opportunity to play as a Central striker – and is unsettled due to recent
key player attrition. With the opportunity to play regularly on the wing
and as a back-up central striker, it may just motivate the player to stay and
ignite that inner flame that we occasionally see and constantly long
for. Theo up front opens the door for OX to also start in right mids and
it provides a great opportunity for both players to shine against their old
team. I can’t see how South Hampton can
deal with the pace and versatility of this line-up.

    With The Glass Man
(DIABY) out with yet another injury, that opens and interesting opportunity in
Defense and Defensive Mids. With Kos back
and Metersaker doing well, it’s a difficult situation to balance, My solution
is to play Verm at Defensive mids. We
know he a is tough tackler and he likes to get further up the pitch on occasions
    – and he is a real goal scorer . Merter and Kos in Central defense – that essentially
provides 3 C-backs in a diamond, freeing up the wing backs to get into the game
and overwhelm a team that is just trying to hang on and find a point somewhere.

    This allows Artetta to
play a more offensive role and support Corzola, OX and Podi.
