VIDEO Watch the young striker who arrived at Arsenal on trial

Caniggia Ginola Elva arrived at Arsenal today [Monday] to start a trial.

Elva was born in 96 making him either 17 or just-turned 18 The St Lucian-born Canadian national has also had trials with three German sides – FC Stuttgart, Scahlke 04 and Hoffenheim.

He currently plays for Calgary Southwest United and is the son of St Lucian international Titus ‘Titi’ Elva and nephew of defender Olivier ‘bolbear’ Elva.

Information about him was hard to tie down with his club describing him as a striker and other places an attacking midfielder.

    Information is sketchy at best. But my Canadian friends would do anything to have one of their’s play for the Gunners. And his name is Elva, it already sounds like a no-brainer…

    He looks like a good prospect. His touch is good, he seems to have a great eye for passing and his ball control looks promising. He does look like man agaisnt boys in the clips so it will be a wake-up call for him on trial at Arsenal.
